Connect Google Ads to Kreel

Kreel brings your ecommerce data into one place. Once you connect Google Ads, your campaign performance shows up next to your store revenue, email, and Meta ad spend, so you can see how Google Ads contributes to the business. You can also connect that data to your own AI agent over MCP or the CLI.

You need:

  • A Kreel account. Sign up at app.kreel.ai.
  • A Kreel workspace role that can connect platforms (Admin).
  • Access to a Google login that can reach the Google Ads account you want to connect, since you authorize the connection with your own Google sign-in.
  1. Sign in to Kreel at app.kreel.ai.
  2. In the left navigation, open Connections.
  3. Find Google Ads and click Connect.
  4. You are sent straight to Google to sign in and approve access. Google asks you to confirm access every time you connect, even if you have connected before. Kreel requests read-only access only.
  5. After you approve, Google returns you to Kreel and opens the account picker so you can choose which Google Ads account to sync.

A single Google login can often reach more than one Google Ads account, including manager (MCC) accounts that themselves hold several client accounts. Kreel needs you to pick exactly one account before it syncs anything.

The Select Google Ads Account picker lists every account your login can reach: its name, its customer ID, its currency, and a tag showing Manager or Client.

  • Manager accounts are shown for reference but cannot be selected directly. Their child client accounts are listed alongside them, and those you can select.
  • Click a client account to select it. The account you pick shows a Selected badge.
  • If you close the picker without picking anything (Skip for now), the connection stays active but Kreel will not sync until you select an account.
  • You can reopen the picker any time from the Select account button on the Google Ads row in Connections.

Once you select an account, the first sync starts automatically. Recent data lands first, usually within minutes, while older history continues syncing in the background. You do not need to keep the page open.

Kreel connects with read-only access. Google’s Ads permission is a single broad scope rather than a separate read-only one, so the read-only guarantee is enforced by Kreel itself: its code only ever reads, never writes - see Security and privacy. Once an account is selected, it reads:

  • Campaigns, ad groups, and ads, including status; ads also carry Ad Strength.
  • Daily campaign performance: impressions, clicks, cost, conversions, conversion value, and search impression-share metrics.
  • Search terms and keywords, including Quality Score for keywords.
  • Shopping products and Performance Max asset group performance.
  • Per-asset creative metrics, for both standard ads and Performance Max asset groups.

Kreel does not change your campaigns, bids, budgets, or anything else in Google Ads. It only reads data to display it back to you.

  • Campaign performance updates every hour, covering a rolling 30-day window, so Google’s retroactive changes to conversions and cost show up quickly.
  • Search terms, keywords, ad groups, ads, shopping products, and creative asset metrics update once a day.
  • Like other ad platforms, Google Ads is reported through yesterday, not today. Today’s spend and results appear in tomorrow’s sync.

You can also trigger a sync yourself from Connections:

  • Re-sync runs a routine incremental update.
  • Full re-sync (up to 2 years) progressively rebuilds up to two years of Google Ads reporting history. Recent data lands first, with older history continuing to sync in the background. Use it to recover missing or stale data, not for routine updates.

See Sync and data freshness for how this compares across platforms.

Once your account is selected and the first sync finishes:

  • Open the Paid Ads section to see Google Ads campaign performance next to Meta Ads.
  • Open the Performance section to see Google Ads spend next to Shopify revenue, email, and Meta ad spend.

Keyword, search-term, and shopping performance are not broken out on the dashboard - ask your connected AI agent if you need that level of detail.

If you use an AI assistant like Claude or ChatGPT, you can connect Kreel to it over MCP or the CLI and ask questions about your data directly.

To disconnect Google Ads, open Connections, find Google Ads, and click Revoke. Confirm the action when prompted. Kreel stops all syncing immediately and revokes the stored credentials. Your synced Google Ads data is kept for 90 days in case you reconnect, then permanently deleted.

Email support@kreel.ai and we will help you get connected.
